What even is a "good" play? A "good" structure? How are we even defining "good"?
Theatre in the United States as we know it is a colonized art form.
What can happen when we strip away the structures of what we've been taught and explore writing stories how our ancestors have told stories? In the Decolonize the Playwriting Process class taught by Seminole Nation of Oklahoma citizen and playwright Tara Moses, artists will begin to deconstruct the playwriting process and return to storytelling in its original form - while still being what we know as a play for the theatre.
Come to be challenged. Come to be empowered. Come to tap into your creativity without judgment.
Students may join live on Thursdays at 7pm ET on Google Meet, or receive recordings each week.
